BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Karwan Al-Dosakee received his Master's Degree in Management of IT from the University of Nottingham, the UK, in 2013. Then, he finished his PhD in Computer Information Systems in 2023. His doctoral thesis focused on (Technology for Enhancing Special Education). He developed an applied model of Sign Language for elementary students with disabilities. He has worked in academia since 2013 as a faculty member in the Computer Science Department at the University of Duhok. Now, he is the director of Skills Development at Duhok Polytechnic University (DPU). His research interests focus on IT Management, Digital Transformation, HCI, Assistive Technologies, Educational technology, and IoT. He participated in the UNILEAD program funded by DAAD at the University of Oldenburg in 2016. In addition, he is the co-founder and active member of the Nukar Entrepreneurship and Innovation hub at DPU, which is funded by the U.S. government and implemented by (IREX) in partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
