Firas Mahmood Mustafa Alfaqi

BIOGRAPHY

I am a diligent academic with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the prestigious Mosul Uni., Iraq. My academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Electrical Eng./Electronics and Comm., in which I graduated within the top quarter of my cohort, ranked 10th out of 41 students. I went on to earn an M.Sc. in Computer Eng. from the Computer Eng. Dept at Mosul Uni. in 2000. After completing my master's degree, I joined the faculty of the College of AlHadba Uni.'s Computer Science Dept in 2003, where I remained until 2012. During this time, I pursued my Ph.D. degree, which successfully completed in 2007. In 2013, I moved to DPU Uni., where I persevered in my field with diligence until 2017. From there, I was appointed as the Chairman of the CCE Dept at Nawroz Uni., where I served until 2020. Throughout my academic career, I have been an active participant in the Erasmus+ project, and six times in IREX programs, I have twice facilitated the DPU team, which twice won 1st place internationally in GSSC program. Currently, I've returned to the TCE college at DPU Uni., where I bring my extensive knowledge and experience to help shape the next generation of computer engineering professionals.
